Sierra Leone Pastors Give a Great Testimony
Coming Together for the Sake of the Kingdom

In January of this year, the first team of pastors from Sierra Leone traveled to Liberia to participate in the building of a zone center in Monrovia. The team arrived and made a great impact on the work in Liberia. As the coordinator of the project along with Rev. Daniel Johnson from Liberia, we watched as the pastors from both countries merged into one team to accomplish a big task in a short period of time.
Pastor Paul and Daniel joined the team at the work site in Monrovia. Over the week period they were instrumental in helping us raise up an iron structure building in just 7 days.

I want to express my thanks to the team from Sierra Leone. We really would not have completed the project without their help. Paul Kallon and Daniel Sesay worked very hard through out the week. Most of the guys are not use to the "14 hour-Tim-Eby-Work-Day" but they stepped right up and stayed with me. Most days they were the first at the site and were already working when I arrived. Daniel is a hard worker and also a joyful person. His songs around the work site also brightened the mood and entertained the local children.

As soon as we bolted together the first truss and dropped it in the ground, everybody began to see that we were going to put up a large building in a very short period of time.

Paul worked well with Brother Augustine Quoi as they worked on the foundation together. Both Paul and Augustine were laying blocks while I roofed with the other Liberian pastors. There was a fairly good representation of local pastors and members from the surrounding churches so I was pleased with what happened.

I heard many pastors asking when the Liberian team was going to Sierra Leone to do ministry. These are good questions and ideas that need further pursuit. Our collaboration across borders will draw from each other strengths and continue to build the church of the Nazarene in new ways.

Thanks to Rev. Daniel Johnson and Rev. Elijah Klay, for your hospitality, for being at the work site and working hard almost everyday we were there, and for helping cover some financial cost while we were making arrangements to complete the task.
Our vision is to see this place as a major learning center and conference area in Monrovia. Let us keep dreaming together and working hard to see that the property is developed to its fullest potential.
We pray that several work and witness teams from the US can come and help us complete this center until it is usable for training. God is at work and we are excited to be part of the process.
For the sake of the cross,
Rev. Timothy R. Eby
