District Libraries Receive Books
District Libraries Receive Books
Africa West Field Blessed by New District Libraries
Story by Rev. Tim Eby
Field Partnership Coordinator

During the recent leadership meeting in Accra, Ghana we found ourselves in the midst of a huge problem and blessing at the same time. A huge blessing because we began to open box after box of the books donated by many people through Christian Literature for Africa and realized just how great the library was.

Our great problem was now how to sort and divide the books between the districts and to get them all the way to their countries. Parting leaders were boxing books and taking them away by bus and taxi. Some took them as extra baggage on flights with the hopes to pick up more the next time leaders passed through Ghana.

We hope and pray that God will help us get these necessary books to the remote countries of West Africa and into the hands of our pastors at the district training centers.

I am encouraged because God has been faithful to us. I have already seen libraries completed in places like the North of Ghana. Rev. Frank Mills organized with Phil Carr to get 60 boxes moved to the north and the district leaders are already benefiting from their new libraries. The job is far from over so we ask you to consider how you can help us complete the job that is already started to provide quality books to our centers all across the Africa West Field

Note: Our libraries still need many more reference books. If you are interested in helping us gather more books for our district libraries please contact the Africa West Field office to coordinate this effort with your church.
