Cape Verde Nazarenes Celebrate
the Largest Baptism in their History
On April 3rd,2010 all the churches of Santiago Island (Praia, Achada de Santo António, Palmarejo, Ahadinha, Bela Vista, Assomada, Ribeira da Barca, Picos, Tarrafal, Calheta, Pedra Badejo and Achada Fazenda) got together in the beach of Gamboa to take part in the celebration of a mega baptism service.
It was a wonderful day as 114 people got baptized in a very blessed service, which included praises and God’s Word preached by the District Superintendent, Rev. David Araújo.
All the pastors from Santiago Island were there and hundreds of Nazarenes and also people from other religions attended this service . This event had a big impact in the city of Praia. The event was covered by both the national TV and Radio stations.
After the celebration, there 
was served a lunch for everyone and it was a great time of christian family communion.
When preaching God’s Word, the District Superintendent talked about the benefits of Christ Resurrection. Christ is alive and doing wonders in the Cape Verde Islands.
