New Beginnings in Guinea Conakry
We praise God for all He has done in our country through the year 2009. We are grateful for the work of Rev. Djedje Yao Clement who through his own effort has opened the work in Guinea Conakry. We are also grateful for the support of the Coastal District of Cote d’Ivoire and for the many prayers for our pioneer area.
The church is growing and the message of holiness is being preached in many parts of Guinea. This year we have seen the following things accomplished.
-February 2009, the main central church in N’Zerekore has grown to 150 members with 6 cell groups developed called the following: Gedeon, Ebenezer, Daniel, Emmanuel, Josue, and Deborah.
-5th of February we opened a new work in the area of Lola Sous at a village called Gbatota. Through the evangelism of the Jesus Film we won 11 key men of the village to Christ and with their families the church started with 72 people and 36 were baptized. We now have a strong church there.
-We also have a new church at Pale with 35 members attending that church under the leadership of Pastor Albert
-Pastor Georges Thea completed an exploratory trip and found prospects for opening the church also in Macenta
-In Conakry we have a sister who has opened a prayer cell for the Church of the Nazarene in a quartier named Belleville
We praise God that He is building the church. Continue to pray for us as we serve the Lord and try to complete the great commission in Guinea Conakry.
