We want to make your trip as memorable as possible.  Not only will your team work on the project, but you will also have a chance to be involved in ministry in Lagos.
This busy city of over 15 million people needs to hear the message of holiness.  Opportunities to work with children’s ministries, youth camps, AIDS training programs in the schools, and Jesus Film outreach events are all possible.

Your travel plans would include arriving in the capitol city of Lagos.  From the US tickets are costing approximately $1600 to $1800 for travel.  Visas into Nigeria must be obtained from the Embassy in your country of residence. US citizens can expect to pay about $200 for your visa.

While in Lagos you will stay at one of the guest houses available.  Accommodations generally run approximately $25 per person per night.
The main source of transportation across the city is by taxi.  Expect to pay about $5 to $8 from the guest house to the district center.  Your ground cost will average $50 per day.

The local currency is called Naira and is exchanged at about 148 naira per 1 USD.  While in Lagos you will get a chance to taste the local Nigerian cuisine with our Nazarene family members.  The base food in Nigeria is a rice base with a spicy meat sauce that
can include beef, chicken, or fish.

A trip to Nigeria will be an experience of a life time so we hope you come enjoy the hospitality of our fellow Nigerian Nazarenes and encourage them with your presence and support.

Center Location:

Lagos , Nigeria

God blessed our church with a large property on the northern edge of Lagos.  This property has a small house on the property which is developing into  a guest house and classroom for our current pastoral program.  A simple metal construction worship center was built in January 2008 and we are waiting to launch the main multi-purpose facility in 2012.  Construction will require approximately $60,000 USD for completion of the center.  We hope to have five Work and Witness teams each bringing $10,000 to help complete this important facility.  For more information please contact Tim Eby in the Africa West Field office at: teby@awfcon.org
