My life Story

My name is Garlody Delaye and I serve as the zone coordinator for the Zwedru zone.

I was born into the blessed union of Mr Brown & Mrs Kaylee Delaye Feb 22, 1962.  I started my primary education in 1972 and I graduated from a Catholic School ( Bishop Juwle High School) in Zwedru in 1984.

I entered the theological education with the church of the Nazarene in 1994 during my time of exile to the Ivory Coast from Liberia C
ivil War. My wife Dehkontee aged 40 is an 8th grade student and strongly planning to continue her education. She is from a Christian background. Her father Rev. Harry Gbau and mother Esther started their young ages in the Assembly of God Church where they are presently serving the Lord.

Rev. Gbau has once been DS for the Assembly Church in the area and Esther a great womens leader. They are helping us  in some ways in our ministry. They  highly appreciated our  being together as husband and wife and have supported our wedding in December 8, 2001. God has blessed us with 6 children, 2 boys , 4 girls and they are all in school.

My wife ‘s parents are still with us supporting  but God has called my parents to rest, may their souls rest in perfect peace.

God blessed me with 4 brothers and 3 sisters , one of my brothers, Rev. Thomas Delaye is sharing with me in the ministry of the Church of the Nazarene.

May God bless me and my family as we serve in the work of his kingdom.

Ministry Story:

When I was coming up in my young age, I was having some knowledge that there is a God who is in control of every thing. I started my first church membership with catholics at Christ the King Church in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County but I was not paying much attention to the things of God until the Liberia Civil war which started in 1990. I ran over to the neighboring Ivory Coast with my family for refuge. There I was really converted with my father, some brothers and sisters. It took me time to make this great step for Christ because my parents were not Christians to help me in the sufficient knowledge of Christ until this opportunity through the civil crisis.

The spirit of God led me and I became a member of the Church of the Nazarene under the Liberian-Ivorian District in 1993. In 1994 I got my first local preacher license  and Oct 3, 1995 I got my first District License.

In 1998 we returned to Liberia from Ivory Coast as a church and took assignment in a local village called Gleplay Town in Grand Gedeh County. Our District’s name was changed from Liberia-Ivorian District to Liberia South east on January 23, 2002 and I was ordained and appointed DS over the District and was called to Pastor the Zwedru Central Church where I am presently serving as head pastor.

God is blessing and leading me and my family. To Him be the glory and honor for ever and ever, Amen
