My life Story

I am Friday Ezekiel Udofia. I was born into and brought up in a Christian family. My parents were Nazarenes before the affiliation on April 3, 1988. But even though I was born into a Christian home, I was not born again until

July 1983.

This is when I accepted the Lord as my Lord and Saviour, and became a child of God.
It was during a worship service in our local Church. This was the beginning of my walk with God resulting in total

consecration of my life to the Lord.

In June, 1988 during a revival meeting in my local Church, I responded to invitation which was given by a

guest preacher, calling us to come out to seek the experience of entire sanctification.  I found myself in the altar, the only one that night.  I surrendered all to Him. The Lord transformed my life and put in my heart deeper love for Him and my fellow human.

He changed my way of thinking, and gave me a new philosophy and direction in life.
He gave to me peace and joy in my heart.  He also gave me enduring passion for the lost souls around me.

With this conviction and sense of call to service upon my life, I enrolled in our Bible College in I October 6, 1990, to prepare myself for Christian living and whatever areas of ministry the Lord will have me serve.  That was only what made sense to me at that time. Other things became secondary.

My wife, Gloria took over full responsibility for our small restaurant we initiated in 1989, while I am in the Bible College for four years. Preparing myself, seeking the face of God and learning how to be like Christ and to serve Him.

In 1991, I had my first district license and was called to pastor a local Church, which I did. I’m so grateful to God today because He helped me to make the right decision to live for Him and to serve His people wherever He sends me.
He has been in control and the Lord of my life ever since.  I have found Him to be so faithful.  All His promises are true. My increasing desire is to make myself available so He could use me the more to do whatever He wants me to do in building His kingdom.

Currently, I’m serving as ministry coordinator for the work in Nigeria, with a very special attention to the new Church plant in Lagos.
The Lord is doing great things and building His Church in Nigeria. I truly enjoy the ministry of Church planting, theological education, discipleship, Spiritual formation and leadership development.

I have a God size vision of taking Church of the Nazarene to every community in Nigeria.  This is where

the message of holiness is highly needed. I have found

love and heart purity to be the solution to all the many problems we are facing in Nigeria.  I strongly believe that when a good number of Nigerians are entirely sanctified, our story will change.

We have four organized Churches in Lagos plus 14 preaching points. Our goal is to plant 100 local churches by the year 2015, by His grace.

We also have extension Bible College with 42 students,

where our pastors are trained.  God has provided a land for us to build our district centre.  We are praying that He will provide us necessary funds to be able to put structure there for the meeting of His people.

My wife, Gloria and I, with our six children live in Lagos.  Gloria
works with women in the district and also sells foodstuff to support our family and ministry.
My first daughter, Evelyn 16, is in her final year in high school. She wants to study business. Nathanel 14, is in grade 9, Abigail 13, Joe is 10, Paul 6 and Mark is six months old.
